Hi! I’m Mattis Schulte, a Cologne-based cinematographer and camera operator. I believe in a close collaboration with the director, creating a style that always serves the story. I love the challenge of finding the right gear and technique to bring your vision to life. I really like to engage with the crew and the talents in front of the camera — being on set is truly my happy place.

I’m from a small town near Dortmund, Germany. I discovered my passion for film at the University of Applied Science and Arts Dortmund. With the master’s degree at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, I focused further on cinematography and storytelling. With my experience in documentaries, commercials, features and shorts I bring a well-rounded perspective to your pre-production and set.
